GARAGE SALE TRAIL AT FREO FARMERS MARKET

The Freo Farmers Market is participating in the Australian Garage Sale Trail this Sunday the 12th, and also next Sunday, November 19.

It means there will be many more stalls, offering pre-loved clothes and other things. Of course all the usual food stalls will be there to buy your fresh fruit&vegies, bread, eggs, seafood, etc.

The Freo Farmers Market is at Bruce Lee Oval in Beaconsfield every Sunday from 8am till midday.

Is That Vintage? Along with Garage Sale Trail, is back with an ALMIGHTY BANG.

Wheeling and dealing in vintage and vibes as always at The Local Hotel TODAY from 9am till 1pm, as we celebrate the beginning of the summer season. This time we will be throwing the roof off of the garage, invading the restaurant and seeping into the car park as we adorn our beloved local pub with all things pre-loved and handmade.

The *** BAR WILL BE OPEN *** for fizzy morning appropriate beverages, beers by @southfremantlebrewing and a coffee cart for the caffeine addicts among us.

As always we will have some funky, fresh vinyl spinners to keep the mood light, airy and chock full of morning appropriate soul-quenching disco tunes .

FREO’S GARAGE SALE TRAIL IS ON

 

 

The annual GARAGE SALE TRAIL is back in Fremantle this coming weekend October 19 and 20, so go find a bargain, or sell some yourselves.

Garage Sale Trail is happening right across Australia. It’s a big weekend encouraging us to put secondhand first and minimise our impact on the planet.

Small actions drive big change, so while one garage sale on its own won’t make much difference, hundreds of thousands of Aussies joining the trail packs some real punch.

When people get together in the streets, community centres and schools to buy, sell and reuse at garage sales over a weekend, that sends a strong message to re-use and recycle and stop the cycle of over-consumption and throwing things into landfill.

Garage Sale Trail happens with the support of Local Council partners across the country and nearly 400,000 bargain hunting, reuse loving Australians shopping and selling at more than 18,000 garage sale events Australia-wide.

Every garage sale has a unique style and gets a sale page that provides clues to who’s involved, what’s on offer and anything else that’s going down. It’s like a treasure map to second hand greatness. Likewise, shoppers can search for sales, items of interest and make your own Trail of favourite sales to checkout.

GRAB A BARGAIN AT FREO’S GARAGE SALE TRAIL

 

 

Australia’s biggest ever weekend of treasure hunting will come to Freo when the City of Fremantle and Town of East Fremantle host a massive Garage Sale Trail this  Saturday.

The Fremantle event at the City of Fremantle’s recycling centre on Montreal Street will have 30 stallholders selling goods ranging from kitchen items and furniture to pot plants, vinyl records and second-hand clothes.

It’s the first time in Garage Sale Trail history that two councils have pulled together to host a sale.

The Garage Sale Trail will see more than 400,000 people rummaging through over 2 million items for sale at around 15,000 garage sales across the country.

There will also be the Eat No Evil food truck, a coffee van, Buster It’s All About Play and expert advice from our Parks and Landscape team on creating your own verge garden.

Garage Sale Trail is a run by Australian not-for-profit social enterprise Garage Sale Trail Foundation in partnership with over 140 councils around the country.
Garage Sale Trail seeks to educate Australians on the importance of reuse, and the need to take individual responsibility for the waste we generate, while also building stronger, more connected and more resilient communities

The City of Fremantle’s Garage Sale Trail event is on Saturday October 20 from 8am – 2pm.
