It is a slow news weekend so a short stroll at the Growers Green Farmers Market this morning resulted in these three photos.

SEE YOU AT THE GROWERS GREEN MARKET

It looks like it is going to be a pretty good Sunday after all the rain we had this week, so why not head out to the Growers Green Farmers Market at Fremantle College on Lefroy Road. It is on from 8am till midday today for great fresh and organic fruit&vegetables, bread, pastries, eggs, etc.

And the perfect place for nice breakfast and great coffee or to buy some take-away for lunch.

Of course Farmer Damian’s animal touch farm is there, plus live music and face painting

There is also the Beaconsfield Precinct meet with Councillor Hannah Fitzhardinge from 10-12am.

ENJOY THE GORGEOUS FREO SUNDAY!

It is going to be another gorgeous Fremantle Sunday so why not start the day this morning at the lovely Growers Green Farmers Market at Fremantle College on Lefroy Road in Beaconsfield.

It is open from 8am till noon with live music, fairies, face painting , Farmer Damian animal touch farm, fresh produce, great breakfast, coffee, lunch, organic fruit and vegies, etc.

The Growers Green is what Freo is all about!

The last of the Fremantle Arts Centre Sunday Music courtyard sessions is on for this season with Grace Barbe, the queen of tropical rhythms. It’s free from 2-4pm and the cafe, pizza bar and bar are open.

MARKET UNDER TREES AND PAPAYA TREE IN FREO

It’s the long WA Labour Day weekend, so no reason not to be out and about in Fremantle on Sunday, as most of us won’t have to turn up for work on Monday or get the kids to school early.

Autumn has started and it was pleasantly cool this morning, so why not head out between 8am and noon to the fantastic Growers Green Farmers Market at Fremantle College on Lefroy Road in Beaconsfield.

It is the first Sunday of the month, so that means it is a big market with additional art&craft stalls, etc.

There is plenty of fresh produce, breads, pastries, eggs, organic and vegan food and of course yummy, coffee, breakfast and lunch on the menu.

Papaya Tree

 

From 2-4pm NSW youngsters Papaya Tree will be performing their mix of reggae, funk, rock and jazz in the Fremantle Arts Centre courtyard. It is a FREE concert!

The cafe, pizza bar and bar will be open and there are some great new exhibitions as well.

CHILL OUT SUNDAY IN FREMANTLE

 

It’s going to be a lovely 30 degrees Sunday so get out and about and enjoy Fremantle!

The Sunday tradition starts with the Growers Green Farmers Market at Fremantle College on Lefroy Road in Beaconsfield from 8am till midday.

From 2-4pm the free courtyard music session is on at the Fremantle Arts Centre with Grace Sanders and her band offering jazz, pop and soul music, accompanied on stage by the all female Dulcie alt-pop quartet.

From 4-9pm Victoria Quay will come alive with the Merchants’ Mess Food Truck Markets, so head out there for dinner, live music and the sun setting behind the lighthouses.

And while there don’t forget to walk over to the Maritime Museum where on the deck Harbour Sundays will be on and Tom Fisher and the Layabouts playing from 5pm.

All venues will have plenty of food and drinks on offer, so chill and enjoy the Freo lifestyle!

HAVE FREO FUN THIS HOT SUNDAY

Nice that summer has finally arrived in Fremantle with another 40 degree day on Sunday.

Slip, slap, slop and go enjoy all the events that are on.

Starting of course with the weekly Gowers Green Farmers Markets at Fremantle College from 8am till midday.

After that head to Bathers Beach from noon on for beach football, and then from 2-4pm go listen to the alt-country troubadours The Wilds at the Fremantle Arts Centre.

When you leave the FAC the seabreeze will have started to cool down the day a bit so make your way to Victoria Quay for the foodtrucks market from 4-9pm.

Freo is fun, so take advantage of it!

The Fremantle Growers Green Farmers Market is back after a well-deserved NY’s break.

So head for the Fremantle College on Lefroy Road this Sunday between 8am and noon for fresh fruit&vegetables, organic produce, breads, pastries, etc.

There are also food stalls for yummy breakfast or take-away for lunch, great coffee, Farmer Damian’s animal touch farm for the kids, live music, face painting, and that unique very Freo community ambience.

MARKET AND MUSIC FREO SUNDAY FUN

It is sooooo much nicer to go food shopping at the Fremantle Growers Green Farmers Market than going to a sterile shopping centre, and the last one of the year is on this Sunday December 23 from 8am till midday.

So get on your airconditioned bikes or in your hot cars and head to Fremantle College on Lefroy Road for all that fresh produce and yummy breakfast offers.

And from 2-4pm sit in the shade of the plane trees in the courtyard of the Fremantle Arts Centre for the free concert by The Last Fair Deal with powerhouse lead singer Ofa Fotu and listen to the great blues and soul.

ENJOY THE MARKETS, MUSIC AND CAROLS IN FREMANTLE TODAY

It does not look like rain at all this beautiful Sunday morning in Fremantle so get out and enjoy it!

The Growers Green Farmers Market is on at Fremantle College on Lefroy Road till 12 midday for great fresh produce and yummy breakfasts and coffee.

Make sure to have a look at the Glen Cowans photography stall where my friend Louise sells amazing jewelry at very affordable prices!

At the Fremantle Arts Centre free courtyard music session today Thando will perform her soulful R&B from 2-4pm.

From 5-8.30 on the Carols by Candlelight are on at Fremantle Oval with Libby Hammer and the Arcadian Voices, and food stalls for the hungry.

HUGE WEEK FOR FREMANTLE. ENJOY!

 

 

It is going to be a pretty big week for Fremantle so come along and enjoy all the fun!

It starts of with the Long Table Dinner all along historic High Street on Thursday evening, with the added bonus of a Christmas Market in Henry Street.

On Friday and Saturday evening the fantastic Frankenstone will light up inside the Roundhouse, and the Bazaar at the Fremantle Arts Centre starts and will run all weekend.

On Saturday from 1.30pm the Fremantle Folk Festival will be held in Princess May Park, Clancy’s and DADAA, so make sure to go there as well.

And on Sunday the Growers Green Farmers CHRISTMAS Market will have their big Christmas market.

Maybe it’s time to book a sicky for next Monday, hey? ; >)
