NEW OLD LOOK FOR FREMANTLE MANNING BUILDING
The veranda posts of the Manning building along Market Street are being put in and looking very good, while workers are now removing the paint on the facade in the High Street mall and William Street.
In Paddy Troy lane one really becomes aware of how significant this development is, so go and have a look!
This is an important development of the historic building by Fremantle based Silverleaf Investments which are one of the major players in our city.

ITS ABOUT TIME FREMANTLE
I know Fremantle is a progressive city and we like to get things moving, but are we really two hours ahead of the rest of Western Australia?
The clock in the Fremantle Townhall was only restarted at midday on Friday but two days later it is already two hours fast. Oooops! Or did we get a Usain Bolt clock installed?

HERITAGE FESTIVAL CONNECTS US TO THE PAST
The Fremantle Heritage Festival starts today with the unveiling of the sublime conservation work of the Townhall at 11.30 am. All are welcome and a historic group photo will be taken, so come along!
In the 32 years I have been in the west I have never seen the Townhall look so splendid. It is now an eye-catching icon for visitors and locals to enjoy.
When in two years the Kings Square development has been finished our city square will be a modern showcase that embraces the beautiful Townhall.
The Heritage Festival program is extensive so get a printed copy at the library or Roundhouse, or check it on the City’s website and Facebook.
Great historic Freo photos at the relaunch of Old Fremantle, a book by Fremantle Society President John Dowson. They are on display at Kidogo Arthouse at Bathers Beach. Don’t miss it! Perfect coffee table book and good presents for all who love Fremantle and history.

STUNNING TOWNHALL CONSERVATION WORK
Someone should get a heritage award for the stunning conservation work that has been done on the Fremantle Townhall.
The last details are being attended to before the entire building will be revealed at the start of Fremantle Heritage Week.
The buildings is now so delightfully beautiful and a real icon in our city.
If parts of it look patchy that is good, as it is a sign the building is now healing itself and getting rid of accumulated salt.
Well done everyone involved and a big thank you to the City of Fremantle heritage department!
