GG 6

An early reminder that the lovely Fremantle GROWERS GREEN FARMERS MARKETS, have relocated back to their old spot at Lefroy Road at Fremantle College.

The market has been a great meeting place for locals and beyond and is the perfect place to buy fresh produce, bread, and lots of other yummy things, as well as delicious breakfast and coffee.

There is live music, the animal touch farm from Farmer Damian, face painting.

It’s lovely to sit on a rug under the trees and engage with your local community.

Open every Sunday from 8 am till midday.

YOUNG SAILORS AT POINT WALTER

Posted in city of melville, fremantle, sailing, sport by freoview on April 8, 2015

The change in weather is sudden and quite nice, so I had to look for long pants this morning for the first time in five months. A drive along the river when it is so calm and overcast is always nice and I happened to come across some young sailors at Point Walter. It appears to be the private boys schools like Wesley and Scotch College doing a bit of school holiday yacht racing.

VICE CHANCELLOR TANNOCK LEAVES FREO NOTRE DAME

Posted in fremantle by freoview on March 18, 2014

Vice Chancellor Mark Tannock has left Fremantle Notre Dame  University to take up position as Principal of St Aloysius’ College, in Kirribili (Sydney).

That would have been a pretty hard decision for Mark as his father was one of the founders of UNDA, but a job at a location just under the Sydney Harbour Bridge is nothing to sneeze at.

Professor Selma Alliex, former Dean of Nursing & Midwifery, has been appointed as Pro Vice Chancellor and Head of the Fremantle Campus.
