FREOVIEW – Fremantle's only daily

B SHED MURAL NOW COMPLETED

Posted in Uncategorized by freoview on February 24, 2022

It appears I engaged in premature photographation on Monday when I published the unfinished artwork by Brenton See at the Freo Merchant cafe in B Shed on Victoria Quay. No wonder my lovers used to call me the 15-second-man then, hey. 😩

Anyhow, here is the completed work. I am still not greatly impressed by it though. There are much better works by the same artist in Fremantle, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder, as the experts say.

The Freo Merchant is a lovely cafe with very friendly service and good coffee, so come sit at the port in the mornings and check it out!

CUTE MURAL IN SWANBOURNE STREET

Posted in Uncategorized by freoview on May 2, 2021

My second morning walk of the day took me up to my old stomping ground of Swanbourne Street, where I lived for 10 years and where I discovered this lovely mural on a fence.

Walking through Bellevue Terrace I bumped into Federal Labor MP Josh Wilson and had a chat with him and a bit further up that street a lady was picking olives for the North Fremantle Community Farm.

Freo is a truly special place that we need to learn to appreciate more and try to help improve with positive contributions.
