GREAT NEW TOURIST ATTRACTION FOR FREMANTLE
The Royal Australian Navy has announced a massive new monument and tourist attraction for Fremantle.
The $ 2 million Sailor monument, that will be placed on the North Mole of Fremantle Port, will have a large 3.6 metre high bronze sculpture of a sailor, plus ten granite walls full of navy history.
What a timely and brilliant addition for Fremantle during a time of the greatest transformation of our city!

of interest is that this superb initiative by Gavin Ryan, a RAN Veteran, bought the Australian Sailor Monument idea to the Freo Mayor in 2007, Peter Tagliaferri, who endorsed the project and the rest is history after a long and hard journey by Gavin and his mates

a superb tribute to our ANZACs and an equally superb effort by the organiser/s who have bought it to fruition

Not sure what you mean Amanda. I am excited about new development in Fremantle and the new retail concept for Kings Square sounds great.
I have been promoting Fremantle on this blog, on Trip Advisor, etc. for many years and do it all for free and because I love this place.
