That was a stunning sky over Fremantle most of today, so I went out late afternoon to take some photos from Monument Hill and the South Mole.

The Under the Bridge Foodtrucks at the Fremantle East Street jetty on Mondays are very popular and a fantastic idea, that is now being emulated in Mosman Park, and from tomorrow on also on Thursdays at the John Tonkin Reserve in East Fremantle.

There were a lot of people young and old having a good time last night while a band was playing invigorating music.

If you haven’t experienced sitting at the Swan River, watching the sun set behind the port while having yummy food, go do it next Monday as summer is almost over!

The silly season is over until we celebrate ONE DAY on January 28 for the long weekend Australia Day, so the UNDER THE BRIDGE FOOD TRUCKS are back from 5 pm on today at the East Street Jetty in Fremantle, and every Monday of the summer season.

SUNSET AT SAILING SHIP LEEUWIN

Leeuwin sunset

It is important for our soul and wellbeing to always know that there is more beauty in life than negativity, so here another photo I took on Sunday night of the sunset behind the SS Leeuwin and Fremantle Maritime Museum.

We are blessed to live in such a gorgeous city as Fremantle.

As a photographer finding beauty in the ordinary is my quest in life.

FREMANTLE VICTORIA QUAY SUNSET

maritime sunset

During the summer months the setting sun creates beautiful warm colours on the walls of A and B Shed on Victoria Quay in Fremantle Port.

I love the intensity of the reflecting light and took this photo yesterday around 6.30pm.

SUNSET FOOD UNDER FREO BRIDGE

Posted in city of fremantle, food, Uncategorized by freoview on October 31, 2017

The Monday night UNDER THE BRIDGE FREO FOOD TRUCKS at the Fremantle East Street jetty is becoming very popular with locals.

It is a very Freo setting at the Swan river with the sun setting behind the port, while eating delicious food in a relaxing environment.

Food from Flying Fallafels, Eat No Evil, and others, music, fresh air and views of the Rainbow artwork.

It is on every Monday during the summer months from 5pm till about 8.30, so go and check it out next week!

HAZE SUNSET AT FREMANTLE

Posted in city of fremantle, sunset by freoview on October 5, 2017

There was a bushfire south of Fremantle, I hope controlled burning, and that often makes for good sunsets, so I went out again after a very busy day to take these photos.

My apologies to FICRA convenor Mary-Rose Baker that I dared to tread the boards of the West End again.

BEAUTIFUL BATHERS BEACH LOVED

Fremantle’s Bathers Beach is more and more becoming a leisure destination for locals and tourists and it showed on Sunday afternoon when many were basking in the gorgeous warm golden glow of the setting sun.

Work is also well under way at the new piazza in the Fishing Boat Harbour that no doubt will become another attraction.

I am very confident that Freo is turning it all around and that we’ll have an invigorated and vibrant city in the very near future!

WHAT A BRILLIANT FREMANTLE SUNDAY!

Posted in fremantle, fremantle port, photography, sunset by freoview on March 5, 2017

That was a pretty brilliant and perfect Fremantle Sunday.

Nice and warm and great community spirit at the Walk The Bridge Roe 8 Highway protest in the morning.

After that a stunning concert by the Fremantle Chamber Orchestra and the superb Dutch violinist Rudolf Koelman at the Townhall.

To finish it off we had a beautiful sunset so I took some happy snaps at Monument Hill and the harbour.

SUNSET AT FREMANTLE PORT

Posted in fremantle, fremantle ports, photography by freoview on February 13, 2017

roro-sunset

Men standing on the vehicle bridge of a RoRo vessel at Victoria Quay that is offloading hundreds of cars at Fremantle Port today, while the sun sets behind the cranes on North Quay.

The humidity today was more like Bali or Bangkok than Fremantle, but no matter what the weather is every day in Freo is a beaut one.
