There is always something happening in Fremantle, as my late afternoon walk proved yet again.

I wandered down to Bathers Beach in the hope of catching a spectacular sun set, but that was not to be, however there was this amazing short moment of a spout of rainbow when looking south over the Fishing Boat Harbour, then three people, one dressed as a monkey, were filming a video, a classy gentleman sat all by himself at the Bathers Beach House with a good bottle of red and a long-stem wineglass, and all of a sudden a very noisy helicopter did a very low loop over Bathers Beach. All that withing 15 minutes.

Love you, Freo!

I had another very busy day, so more photos to come tomorrow, also of the Luminous project of Sculpture at Bathers, that lights up the dune path at Bathers Beach.

My last post of the day before I collapse. ;>)

Summer has really started with a bang, and is now officially the hottest start of December since the recording of daily temperatures started.

Friday was a real stinker with the seabreeze never arriving, so people were out and about in Fremantle.

I don’t recall ever having seen so many people watching the sunset at Bathers Beach.

HOTTEST AUGUST DAY EVER COMING UP

Get ready for a hot one! The forecast is for 28 degrees celsius tomorrow and that would mean the hottest day ever recorded in August in Fremantle. But it won’t last long with rain returning on Thursday for another five or so wet days ahead.

While I was shooting SAB-Sunset at Bathers a team from SAB-Sculpture at Bathers was having a meeting and preparing for the next great SAB show in January.

The Fremantle Annual General Electors Meeting was over in under an hour this evening, so just enough time to capture the lovely sunset from the South Mole of Fremantle port.

GOLDEN CONTAINERS AT FREMANTLE PORT

golden containers

The Fremantle Council Planning Committee meeting finished early for me on Wednesday evening, so enough time to drive onto the South Mole of Fremantle Port and capture the golden light of the setting sun on the containers of the Maersk Yangtze which entered the port just before 7.30pm.

There were plenty of clouds in the sky and the prospect of rain and even thunder on Thursday.

I think I must be addicted to photography, because when I haven’t taken any photos for a day or two I have a real desire to go out and try to discover some, so after a busy day volunteering at the Roundhouse I decided to go out again and take some happy snaps of the beautiful sun set at the Fremantle Martime Museum in the port.
