I drove onto the South Mole to get some nice fresh sea air before going to the Council meeting in North Fremantle, and the light was amazing at 5pm, as this photo shows.

A FREMANTLE DAY OF AMAZING SKIES

The Freo day started with the amazing sea fog weather and ended with a sky full of small clouds. It looks like there will be quite a bit of humidity on Thursday as well, so maybe we’ve got some more interesting skies ahead of us.

SEA MIST BLANKETS FREMANTLE

Amazing to see the rare sea mist rolling along the coast because of the high humidity and yesterday’s heat.

In Fremantle Port it just smelled deliciously like the ocean and the Rottnest Ferry had to slow down a bit and use their fog horn.

We live in a wonderful place. Appreciate it!

STINKING HOT BUT BEAUTIFUL FREO

Summer has really started with a bang, and is now officially the hottest start of December since the recording of daily temperatures started.

Friday was a real stinker with the seabreeze never arriving, so people were out and about in Fremantle.

I don’t recall ever having seen so many people watching the sunset at Bathers Beach.

CHILL OUT SUNDAY IN FREMANTLE

It’s going to be a lovely 30 degrees Sunday so get out and about and enjoy Fremantle!

The Sunday tradition starts with the Growers Green Farmers Market at Fremantle College on Lefroy Road in Beaconsfield from 8am till midday.

From 2-4pm the free courtyard music session is on at the Fremantle Arts Centre with Grace Sanders and her band offering jazz, pop and soul music, accompanied on stage by the all female Dulcie alt-pop quartet.

From 4-9pm Victoria Quay will come alive with the Merchants’ Mess Food Truck Markets, so head out there for dinner, live music and the sun setting behind the lighthouses.

And while there don’t forget to walk over to the Maritime Museum where on the deck Harbour Sundays will be on and Tom Fisher and the Layabouts playing from 5pm.

All venues will have plenty of food and drinks on offer, so chill and enjoy the Freo lifestyle!

MAD DOGS AND BATHERS BEACH FOOTBALL

beach soccer

It was officially 39 degrees when I took the photo of the Beach Football at Fremantle’s Bathers Beach today. It was probably hotter with the reflective heat of the sand, but that did not deter the male soccer players today, and the female ones played yesterday.

It is dead quiet in town and about a million vacant parking bays, so take advantage of it. ; > )

It is hot but very dry with little humidity so perfect weather for me.

TOMMYHAWKS AT FREO ARTS CENTRE THIS AFTERNOON

Posted in city of fremantle, concert, fremantle arts centre, music, Uncategorized by freoview on January 6, 2019

tommyhawks

Hot is good and dry heat is even better, so the 38 degrees predicted for today won’t keep the lovers of the free courtyard music sessions at the Fremantle Arts Centre away.

On from 2-4pm this afternoon are The Tommyhawks with their melodic folk pop, mixed with raucous punk music. Expect catchy songs with blistering saxophone solos in the lovely setting under the trees at the FAC.

The cafe, the bar and the pizza bar are all open for the family-friendly event.
