NOTHING MISERABLE ABOUT FREMANTLE

There is always something going on in Fremantle and this morning proved it again.

When I walked out of Chalkys after my routine daily espresso there, I noticed a lot of young people in period costumes, so had to find out what was going on of course.

It was O’Connor-based  MSJ Productions doing a Les Miserables music video with their students.

MSJ does vocal, dance and theatre classes, so if your kids are interested have a look at the website.

POPULAR SOUTH BEACH CHRISTMAS CAROLS

The City of Fremantle Christmas Carols, the first one at South Beach, was very popular on Sunday night with thousands of people enjoying the family atmosphere, music and sunset.

The sea breeze was very strong and had a real chill in it so many people cuddled up under blankets to try to stay warm, but it was a very nice event with food stalls catering for the hungry.

A reminder for mums, dads and grandparents that this Sunday December 18 the Fremantle Christmas Carols are on at South Beach from 7 pm, so it will be great to get a stunning sunset while cuddling up with the kids and enjoying the community.

There will be food stalls from 6pm, so no need to bring your own if you feel a bit lazy on the day.

I’m dreaming of a white beach Christmas!

My mate Saf Ali of Smartchoice Realty made me aware that the Australian Rugby Team is staying at the Fremantle Esplanade Hotel this week and that the The Voice TV series were doing auditions today there as well, so I thought I’d better try my luck.

The Voice people were really lovely but told me I can’t sing or dance, but suggested I would have excellent chances of becoming Australia’s next Bachelor or even Supermodel, so I’ll audition for that next time.

Keep an eye out for all the sporting and singing celebrities in Freo and make them feel welcome!
