STUNNING ART SHOW AT PS ART SPACE

Posted in art, fremantle, indian ocean by freoview on March 18, 2017

Ships That Pass is a stunning art show by Jo Darbyshire and Penny Coss in Fremantle’s most stunning art gallery, PS Art Space in Pakenham Street.

The historic huge warehouse space invites artists to create an installation with their work and Darbyshire and Coss have achieved that.

Ships that pass in the night, and speak each other in passing.

Only a signal shown and a distant voice in the darkness;

So on the ocean of life we pass and speak one another,

Only a look and a voice, then darkness again and a silence.”

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. 1874

The exhibition is open for three weeks till April 18.

Next Saturday, March 25 from 1-2 pm the artists will discuss their work with guest artist Michelle Elliott, the author of Scylla-bodies-water.

I really love this exhibition, so make sure to go and view it and while there have some great coffee and food at Cafe 37.
