FASTER TAKE-AWAY AT MOORE&MOORE

Posted in art, cafe, city of fremantle, coffee, heritage, Uncategorized by freoview on March 22, 2019

MM

The lovely Moore&Moore cafe in Fremantle’s Henry Street has got a new hole in the wall window to serve take-away coffee from.

Inside the nook, to the right of the entrance, famous mural artist Stormy Mills has created a small artwork, and there is still a blank space next to it so we might see another one of his creations in the M&M. Once the second space has also been filled I’ll take a photo and show you what it looks like.

FREO’S MOORE&MOORE CAFE CELEBRATES 11TH BIRTHDAY!

Congratulations to Simon Naber, who started the great Moore&Moore cafe in Fremantle’s Henry Street 11 years ago. Well done!!!

Simon developed the lovely cafe into a wedding and function centre and was also the first to build a parklet for alfresco dining in Fremantle. He also created a children’s playground in the back courtyard which is shared with the Paper Bird children’s book shop.

The M&M is very popular with Notre Dame University students, who manage to make a cup of coffee last for hours so that they can use the free wifi in the building.

Great food, great coffee, great service and often great art in the arts centre, and live music several mornings each week.

MOORE&MOORE CAFE SUPPORTS LOCAL ART

junko

Nice to see a local business supporting a local artist.  This great new print by Junko Kitamura is now hanging in the Moore&Moore cafe in Fremantle’s Henry Street.

It is interesting to know that Junko used to be a barista  at the M&M many years ago and had her first show in the gallery there. She is one of my favourite printmakers.

FREO IS THE CAPITAL OF GREAT LITTLE CAFES

cafe 2

Photos I took this morning of two well-known Freo cafes. The shadows are at the Carriage cafe on the Esplanade and the arty entrance is of the Moore&Moore cafe in Henry Street.

Fremantle has a lot of hidden little gem cafes, so go out and explore!
