The delightful Kavisha Mazzella will be playing down at Kidogo Arthouse at Bathers Beach on Sunday January 29 at 7pm with Fremantle musician David Pensa as support.
It is the launch of her CD The Fearless Note. This is a live CD that was recorded on a full moonlit night last September at Julian Burnside QC and artist wife Kate Durham’s place at his request as he wanted a bootleg style of a live performance.
It’s the Queebee long weekend so plenty of time to enjoy Fremantle, rain or shine.

I received following email from the delightful Kylie Wheatley:
I am very excited about NECTAR 2013. After 4 yrs of holding it in Fremantle I found myself in a position of little support from the City for the event and was about to cancel it when the City of Cockburn offered me a new home at the gorgeous Manning Park, generous funding and much in-house support. So we have gone full steam ahead with a 2 day event. Friday the 8th of March 2013 is our Nectar Dinner in my Red Tent celebrating International Women’s Day and raising money for the named fund “Nectar for Women” with the Fremantle Foundation.
Once again Aria award winner Kavisha Mazzella with delight us with her incredible talent. Donna Simpson from the 4 time Aria award winning West Australian band The Waifs will give an intimate solo performance. Donna now calls Hammy Hill home and we are so delighted and honoured to have her.
Clancy’s Fish Pub is once again supporting the event with a fantastic 4 course meal for ticket holders.
Saturday see’s the return of the FIESTA I first held at the Fremantle Arts Centre. Dr Carmen Lawrence will open the event. This will be followed with
Inner Sky with Kavisha Mazzella.

‘Flamboyant’ women will be gathering in Fremantle for a ‘divine dinner’ on International Women’s Day this year at Red Tent Events’ annual Nectar For Women celebration. But the flamboyant dress code belies the serious intent behind this year’s event, which marks the beginning of an exciting new initiative that will look to support future generations of women who need birth support, post natal care or financial assistance due to crises or because they are caring for disadvantaged loved ones.
Kylie Wheatley has established ‘Nectar for Women’ with the Fremantle Foundation, and all monies raised at this year’s Nectar event will build up Nectar For Women.
Nectar’s dinner will be at the Fremantle Town Hall on the 7th of March, 6-11:30pm and features entertainment from Kavisha Mazzella and Mama Kin in an intimate yet grand setting, with sensational fare from international chef, Kirsten Atyeo and Clancy’s Fish Pub.
Nectar for Women will be managed by the Fremantle Foundation, ensuring all donations are tax deductible and can contribute to the lives of local women forever.
For bookings and more information on Nectar go to http://www.nectarfestival.com.au
