Blue Poles

Blue Poles original

Four female artists did get inspired by the very expensive Blue Poles painting by Jackson Pollock, which is in the National Gallery of Australia in Canberra.

Louise Allerton, Renee Farrant, Rachel Mordy and Jill O’Meehan are exhibiting their Blue Poles in the Moores Contemporary Art Gallery in Henry Street in Fremantle. It opens at 6pm this evening.

There are some large paintings and a lot of small ones, but they were still putting the show together this morning, so go see for yourself.

I took a photo of the plastic installation, because it looks just a wee little bit like Pollock’s original. I am publishing both of them so you can compare. ; >)
