It’s a beautiful day in Fremantle yet again, so why not enjoy the sunset at the Under The Bridge Food Trucks at the East Street jetty this evening and watch the sun set behind the port.

Five trucks will offer a variety of international food to choose from and you can even throw in a line and catch some fish while there.

It’s on from 5-9 pm, so head out to the Swan River!

FREO BRIDGES FOOD TRUCKS OFF TO A GOOD START

Posted in food, fremantle by freoview on February 8, 2016

I was surprised that so many people turned up at the East Street jetty for the first Fremantle food trucks between the bridges today. It will be on every Monday from 5-9 pm till the end of March.

There were only three food trucks but it had a very good community atmosphere with people sitting at the Swan River watching the sunset behind the port. Some even had a quick cooling dip and jumped off the jetty.

If it gets busier a few more seats would be nice, but there is a small park on the other side of the road so that can be utilised as well.

FOOD TRUCKS BETWEEN FREO BRIDGES

Food trucks will be selling yummy international food between the Fremantle bridges at the East Street jetty from today and February 15, 29 and March 14, 28 from 5-9 pm.

Perfect for a stinking hot day like today not to have to cook at home but instead cool down at the river, watch the sunset behind the port, and no washing up either.

Take your love, kids, family, friends for a treat!

BLESSING OF THE FLEET TODAY!

Posted in fremantle, fremantle festival by freoview on October 25, 2015

Come and join the special yearly Blessing of the Fleet today. It has become a community procession for all and is a great event that I never miss. It starts at the St Patrick’s Basilica at 2 pm and ill wind through the cbd and west end to the fishing boat harbour. It should not be long before you’ll hear the first firing of the cannon.

The procession will stop at St John’s church where that priest will join the parade. Let’s hope the rain will stay away till after the Blessing.

The Truck Stop Fremantle Festival event yesterday attracted many people. I had to work in Perth so could not be there but driving past at 3pm on my way home the inner city was alive with many hundreds of people and looked very revitalised.

Truck Stops are now the new black with a food truck market at Garden City on Fridays and one in the Perth Cultural Centre on Fridays and Saturdays.
