I could not stop myself from going out again and take more photos of this morning’s fog in Fremantle.

I drove along the Swan river to Blackwall Reach and Point Walter to take these images.

SMOKE HAZE OVER FREMANTLE

Posted in fremantle, fremantle port, photography, smoke, Uncategorized by freoview on May 13, 2017

I got up a few hours later than I normally do on a Saturday morning but there was still plenty of smog around when I drove onto the Fremantle South Mole.

Fog always reminds me of my youth in the Netherlands where we had plenty of it and where my newspaper run on the bicycle sometimes could take twice as long because I could not see further than twenty metres.

Nice also to bump into Diana on Victoria Quay who was taking photos for the lovely on-line magazine: http://fremantleshippingnews.com.au

FOG FROM FREMANTLE TO ALBANY

Posted in fremantle, weather by freoview on August 8, 2014

fog

There was very heavy fog in Fremantle and the entire Perth metropolitan area. According to the weather bureau the unusual dense fog only happens once every year or so and today’s one spread as far as Albany on the south coast.

The fog affected public transport early this morning, so a few commuters might have been late for work.

The ships in Fremantle port at North Quay were barely visible from the South Mole, as my photo shows.

Great sunny weather is forecast for Sunday, so come and join Roel’s Fremantle Photo Tours from 2.30 to 6 pm. It starts at the Visitor Centre on Kings Square and costs only $ 50.

Book by texting 0419850981 or email roel.loopers@iinet.net.au

NOSTALGIC MISTY MOMENT

Posted in fremantle by freoview on March 24, 2013

I’m feeling a bit nostalgic on this glorious Sunday morning so I dug out one of my favourite photos I took at Point Walter during heavy mist one morning.

And may I also say to the men who are standing on the roof terrace at Fremantle Little High Street screaming their heads off at 6.30 am that you are a bunch of very inconsiderate people. Your next door neighbours might like to sleep in but you selfish drunks don’t care.
