FREMANTLE PACKED WITH PEOPLE

Posted in festivals, fremantle by freoview on March 26, 2016

Delighted to hear and smell good rain in Fremantle, but a shame it might affect the always fantastic Street Arts Festival as there are a lot of people from the country in Fremantle for the Easter holiday.

The Fishing Boat Harbour was packed on Good Friday with not only Christians eating yummy fish.

Rain or shine I’ll go to see the street performers every day because I love to be part of the fun.

I am delighted for the organisers and even more so for food the food stall operators that it is much, much busier at the Fremantle Seafood Festival today.

It is less hot but still quite humid but there are thousands of people around the Bathers Beach festival area, as these photos taken around midday at the Fishing Boat Harbour show.

GO TASTE SOME FREO SEAFOOD TODAY!

Posted in festival, food, fremantle by freoview on February 28, 2016

The Fremantle SEAFOOD FESTIVAL is on all weekend so don’t miss it and head to Bathers Beach and the Fishing Boat Harbour today.

The heat kept the visitors’ numbers down a bit yesterday but there was a lot of interesting seafood for sale and to sample. Spanish mussels, lobster, tiger prawns, sardines in small bread rolls, seafood paella and prawn curry, freshly shucked oysters and whole lot more.

There is a lot of parking at Victoria Quay just a ten-minute stroll to the festival.

Festival Seafood

An early warning that the Fremantle SEAFOOD FESTIVAL will be held at the Fishing Boat Harbour on Saturday and Sunday, February 27 and 28.

It had a very nice atmosphere last year and there was some yummy food on sale but also to sample, and there was wine and olive oil tasting, cooking shows and music and entertainment.

The event is free at Bathers Beach and the FBH, so come along to this family food festival!

Posted in fremantle, market by freoview on July 30, 2015

The fantastically comfortable Fremantle GROWERS GREEN FARMERS MARKET will be celebrating its fifth birthday this Sunday with a big market that has got just about everything, so make sure not to muss it.

There will be live entertainment, facepainting and a touch animal farm and so many yummy things to buy for home but also to sit down and have breakfast and soak up the community spirit.

The Growers Green is my favourite market, so I’ll drop by to have a coffee and buy some fruit and vegies.

The markets is open from 8 am till midday and is at the South Fremantle Senior High School on Lefroy Road.
