This sounds like fun!

This Saturday night we roll into Fremantle town to play for the beautiful people at Clancy’s Fish Pub , with a pretty cool line up Nate Lansdell, Gavin Sounness, Matt Hantler, Tom FisherAshlea Reale, Kerryn Curwood, Mike de Velta (on harp), Steve Gibson will be entertaining in a campfire singalong styled setting .

Performing in a circle in the centre of the room the Ring of Fire breaks down the barriers between audience and musician as everyone gathers around the circle and join in the fun. Unrehearsed and always a slightly different line up, the Ring of Fire is a little edgy, fresh, and exciting .

This is one of those nights where the audience become the show as we sing our way through a massive list of our favourite tunes. Just like a campfire singalong, or old time jamboree ….  Welcome to the Ring of Fire. Doors open at 8pm .

MELBOURNE CUP AT CLANCY’S

Feel like doing something in Fremantle on Melbourne Cup Day? Why not go to Clancy’s Fish Pub and watch the horses on the big screens there inside and outside.

The most exciting part is the Fried Mice competition after the races where local heroes eat hot fried chillies filled with cream cheese. It’s a great excuse to drink more cold beer afterwards.

There are sweeps and hobby horse races and live music. Doors open at 10 am and the seafood platters are great!

FANTASTIC FREO FAMILY FOLK FESTIVAL

What a lovely relaxed family atmosphere the Clancy’s Fish Pub management created at the first Fremantle Folk Festival.

The morning was very cold and pretty wet but it started to get a whole lot better from 1 o’clock on, so head out to Princess May Park for a lot of great music and fun.

Kalidad, one of my favourite groups, will be performing in the evening so don’t forget to paint your face.

GYUTO MONKS FREO’S CRICKET MATCH

Posted in buddhism, cricket, fremantle, religion by freoview on October 9, 2016

The delightful Buddhist Gyuto Monks of Tibet played a cricket match for the Divinity Cup against the motley mob of Clancy’s Fish Pub on Sunday morning and it was a lot of fun.

There were even a few among the lot of them who did not chuck and could actually hit and catch the ball. ; >)

The official opening of the visit of the Gyuto Monks is this Monday October 10 at 7 pm at the Fremantle Townhall with a welcome to country by Noongar elder Richard Walley. All are welcome to this free event, so come along!
