The Fremantle Arts Centre has two new good and interesting exhibitions on, so make sure to visit!

Ian Strange is based in Perth and New York and shows the world premiere of his latest exhibition ISLAND.

Strange sees the home as a symbol of family, community and safety and approaches it through the metaphor of the desert island, a place of refuge and sovereignty but simultaneously entrapment.

I WAS THERE is a group show by Kate McMillan, Yhonnie Scarce, Alex Seton, Tom Buckland, Wanda Gillespie, and Amy Spiers.

This exhibitions turns conventional history on its head and reflects on the continual remarking of history.

It is a fascinating commentary on history itself and our relationship to the past.
