TOO MANY SIGNS ARE VISUAL POLLUTION

Posted in accidents, city of fremantle, fishing boat harbour, Uncategorized by freoview on July 12, 2017

We just love our signs in Western Australia. It will just be a matter of time until the government will demand we put a sign at the exit to our homes that warns that we might get run over by a roadtrain, trip over pavement, get sun burnt, or that a tiger might escape from Perth zoo. Don’t leave home. It’s bloody dangerous out there!

So now we know that there is no lifeguard on duty at the Fishing Boat Harbour, and just in case of diving after one’s fish&chips that was blown into the drink by the Fremantle Doctor, there also have been a buoy installed.

WA is so over-regulated that it baffles overseas tourists and the visual pollution is getting worse by the day.

It might help to make people aware there is an election on. Most voters don’t bother to vote at local government elections.

October Elections are coming and our councillors just voted to let campaign posters first time ever to help their political party campaigns. Going to see a lot more visual pollution soon.

Maybe you two can fix the legal system then. I’m just telling you why it’s there.

Indeed Carl! Someone else is nowadays always responsible for our own failure it appears and that is indeed pathetic.
We need to take responsibility and not always blame THEM, whoever they might be.

Yes, Lionel, and the sign is there because lawyers and insurance companies insist on it. It does not provide for increased safety. We have become an arse-covering culture, just like the US. Pathetic.

That sign in Cottesloe is there because a gentleman dove into the ocean and hit his head, rendering him a paraplegic. He then sued the Town of Cottesloe because they didn’t have a sign.

    Yes Cottesloe is laughable, Carl!

All the things we are not allowed to do in free and easy laid back Australia. Tourists photograph it all the time while shaking their head. Ridiculous!!!!!!!

I couldn’t agree with you more Roel. And it’s hard to find anybody who doesn’t agree with you. So who are these people who support all this crap we now live with on a daily basis? We know who they are, but they won’t face the truth of it all. All the rules; the signs; the regulations; etc……..Have you seen the one at Cottesloe Beach? It’s on the grass bank, just south of the carpark. It warns that there’s water; you know – you might drown. Save us from them all.
