Out of curiosity I wandered into the cavernous carpark opposite the former Fremantle Workers Club in Henry Street on the weekend, as I had been seeing tradesmen going in and out for a few months, to discover there is a development going on in there.

It is on the corner of High and Henry streets where years ago they wanted to build a large hotel, but the sign states it is going to be a residential/commercial development, and it looks like it’s only three storey high.

There are also good plans to develop the former Fremantle Workers Club into residential apartments, so two good developments will make that part of Henry Street a whole lot more attractive and will add to activation of the West End.
