WP 2

WP 1

Western Power must have won the Powerball as it is hard to imagine how our financially broke state can afford 41 vehicles attending one job at Hampton Road in Fremantle. I counted them.

Worse I think they are replacing the power poles with new poles instead of putting the power underground!

A management failure. My house in the area has been without power all day and we have been told tomorrow and Thursday will be the same. Seems there has been no coordination between different teams working in different locations on Hampden Rd and Solomon St.

What’s annoying about this is that with all of this network reinforcement, WP will argue that they have just invested considerably in their poles and wires and can’t afford to spend more money sinking them. It’s hard to imagine how paying for 41 trucks and 100 linemen is cheaper than running a horizonal directional microtunneling machine and putting it all underground. Imagine how much nicer Fremantle would look without its early 1900s esque poles and wires everywhere.
