NUMBAT ART NEEDS ENDANGERED SPECIES INFO

Posted in animals, art, environment, fremantle, nature by freoview on April 9, 2017

I love good mural art and the Numbat one by artist Roa in the Henderson Street mall is one of my favourites, together with the stunning one on the former Myer building at Kings Square.

But the lack of information at the Numbat mural is an opportunity lost I feel because many visitors to Fremantle do not know the animal is a numbat and might think it is a mythical figure.

It is also important to show that the numbat is a very endangered species, so why not put some words next to it to explain that all to overseas, interstate and local visitors.

I love the art, your photo plus your essential sign explaining the essence of the wee animal. May it be in a zillion languages for all to comprehend?
