Fremantle artist Geoffrey Wake who creates his work in his PS Art Space studio in Pakenham Street is having an exhibition at Gallows Gallery, 53 Glyde Street, Mosman Park. It is on till March 26.

The title of the exhibition is “Wandering with Le Corbusier”

This painting is a process driven journey surrounding the subject of Le Corbusier, the French architect /artist. The work is inspired by researching Le Corbusier and translating that experience into an art form .The title is a metaphor on the wandering nature of creativity in that the process is not linear, the line in the painting represents the meandering thought process embracing the journey during the execution of the work. A bit like a river flowing and finding its own ideas and adding to the original thought. The work is also a collective expression of events embedded into the work to express both time and space. The external shape of the painting is purely a continuation of the shaped works I have been doing over the last few years.
