Freo's View

A reminder for mums, dads and grandparents that this Sunday December 18 the Fremantle Christmas Carols are on at South Beach from 7 pm, so it will be great to get a stunning sunset while cuddling up with the kids and enjoying the community.

There will be food stalls from 6pm, so no need to bring your own if you feel a bit lazy on the day.

I’m dreaming of a white beach Christmas!

Seaweed is the best mulch but it is illegal to remove it from the beach

Yes the weather pushing in the seaweed at Bathers Beach quite a bit but hard for the City to keep up with it. They rake the beach at least twice a week from my own observations.

Roel … Dont go to Bathers Beach for your white beach Christmas. Last Sat it was coated in seaweed – and often is. Not a good experience for the locals and for the tourists that the business people crave. I for one would like to see Bathers Beach ‘raked’ more regularly esp during summer. I wonder if seaweed makes good mulch ? ?
