The 1134,000-tonne superliner Emerald Princess arrived in Fremantle this morning on her first visit to Australia.

The very impressive huge ship is one of the largest cruise ships in the Princess fleet and has nearly 900 balcony staterooms and can accommodate 3082 passengers.

I was invited to visit the ship today and have lunch at the Curtis Stone restaurant but unfortunately was booked in for a First Aid training course, so I missed out on a nice lunch.

My fault and a stupid typo Ralph. it should have been 113,000-tonne superliner cruised into Fremantle.

I think you may have 1 too many 1’s in the tonnage Roel. These ships are getting way too big and the romance of cruising seems to be disappearing. Lets hope they arrest that decline soon. The downside of it is that when you hit port there are up to 3000 others all vying for similar attractions. It is however great for tourist operators, hire car companies and specialist tour guides. Now if only Freo would take it seriously and have way finding guides around the port and town. Rangers and parking inspectors could help out as well.
