colourful people dancing in the fremantle festival parade, fremantle, western australia, australia
It is the last, and in my opinion best, day of the Fremantle Festival for this year with the Festival Parade starting at 4pm from the Roundhouse to wind all throughout the inner city.
It finishes with the big NO ZU closing party at Kings Square from 6pm where it will be impossible not to want to dance to the invigorating sounds of this Melbourne ‘underground’ group with wild horns, Latin percussions, great vocals and delight in their “art-damaged sounds”
The Festival Parade is where the Fremantle community comes together every year to show our passion, compassion, creativity and multiculturalism. The school kids will be there and the fairies but of course also protest groups. Expect a huge float from the Roe 8 and Perth Freight Link opponents and if that is a cause you are passionate about, join them!
Above all, have fun, connect, share, and have a fantastic Freo day!
