BYE BYE TO ICONIC FREO MAYA RESTAURANT

Posted in food, fremantle, hospitality by freoview on October 21, 2016

Sad to see the closure of the Maya Indian restaurant in Market Street, Fremantle. Gurp and his brother served the community great Indian food for 25 yeas and will be missed.

The Market street venue was opened by Labor politician Jim McGinty in February 2004.

It will be interesting to see who will take over that prime retail location.

Just down the road the Piazza behind Gino’s is getting there with new trees planted, new furniture soon to be installed and 4oo metre of continues lights above the piazza for a great night experience.

It will be officially opened next week by Councillor Rachel Pemberton who started the first community embracing placemaking Cappuccino Strip Street Club events there some years ago.
