Fremantle BID is offering great free school holiday activity that will engage the whole family and does not have to cost an arm and a leg while exploring our great city. The kids and (grand)parents won’t even realise they are exercising and that this fun day is good for their health!

The FREO TREASURE HUNT map will sent you all over Freo to businesses, historic places, etc. to collect ‘gold coins’ which are displayed in windows. There is even one in a cell at the Roundhouse kids!

There is also free activity at Kings Square and maps can be collected at local businesses, the City of Fremantle, etc. or contact BID on 9430 6504.

You can download the map at and

Yes a really good idea by BID. They did one during the last school holidays as well and it is a great way discovering the hidden treasures of Fremantle.

This is great fun! I took my little pirates and we discovered quite a few places and lovely people along the way. Nothing like being a tourist in your own city, all the fun without the airfare – or should that be hours travelling onboard your pirate ship …ARRRRRrrr 😉

BONUS – Free bouncy castle in Kings Square. And after all that activity the kids will sleep well I promise!
