Steve Kilbey – Up Close and Personal @ The Fib
Wednesday 21 September, 7pm

Steve Kilbey can only be referred to as a polymath; a modern day renaissance man. Musician and hitmaker with his band The Church over the last 32 years, his solo career and many collaborations with some of Australia’s finest musicians have seen fans treated to an unrivalled catalogue of material.

From Jack Frost, in which he collaborated with the late Grant McLennan of the Go-Betweens, to more recent endeavours with Martin Kennedy and the Underground Lovers’ Glenn Bennie, Kilbey’s output is prolific.

While arguably at his creative peak musically, he has also come in to his own over the last decade as a visual artist, blogger and raconteur.

Inducted along with The Church in to the Australian Music Hall of Fame in 2010, Kilbey has also been lauded by recent polls which have declared his 1988 hit ‘Under The Milky Way’ the ‘greatest Australian song of all time’.

Bar and food will be for sale. No BYO!

Book now to avoid disappointment. Check out the Fibonacci Centre and Blinco Street Cafe Facebook pages!
