The City of Fremantle is looking for a highly capable and experienced Festivals Coordinator to provide leadership for the City’s festivals team and contracted artistic directors by managing all timelines and operational plans relevant to the delivery of the City’s four festivals – the Street Arts Festival, The Heritage Festival, Hidden Treasures and the Fremantle Festival.

Reporting to the Manager Arts and Culture, this role will see you establish and implement innovative programming directions and work closely with other City business units to ensure the smooth delivery of all festivals. You will build programming and production delivery partnerships with key private industry professionals to improve the City’s ability to deliver high quality programming with high production values across all festivals.

This role requires experience in; leading festivals or major public events, coordinating publicity campaigns, budget preparation and management, staff management and arts experience in the private sector. You will have extremely high interpersonal and written communication skills and the ability to create and apply innovative ideas to continually improve festival programming.
