AUSTRALIA’S DISGRACEFUL ACTION ON FOREIGNERS

Posted in australia, fascism, fremantle, racism by freoview on August 28, 2015

Australian Border Force (ABF) officers will check people’s visas on the streets of Melbourne this weekend as part of a police operation in the city’s CBD, the Federal Government has revealed.

The agency says people will not be targeted on the basis of race or religion
Part of a broader operation including Victoria Police and other agencies

Officers will be positioned at various locations around the city and will speak with any individual they cross paths with.

No, Australia this is not a belated April’s Fool joke, this is the reality in Australia in 2015 where the Abbott Government introduces racist and fascist actions! What is next, maybe something like foreigners wearing the Star of David as the Jews were forced to do under Hitler’s regime, or another form of immediate visual indentification?

This is a disgraceful and unacceptable action by the federal government that will affect tourism to Australia!

How are we going to prove on what sort of visa were are, or that we are Australian citizens? No doubt the majority of people who will be stopped and questioned by the Australian Border Force will non-white people. OMG all those broun people who are already subjected to racism in this country often, now will have officials in uniform frighten the living daylight out of them. How many will have poor English skills. Ooooh FUCK Australia. What are you doing!!!!!!

Paul again you your point is shy of facts, I made no reference to Freo or even Western Australia yet alone Freo council.
I would suggest you are the one who is always in the personal shots on anyone who does not agree with your view of the world.
I’m not sorry if I’m non conformist, to your view on world views, yet you will not find me criticizing you on having a point of view I may disagree with, shame you cant say the same for your self.
If you think that Switzerland is the only country that has run these sorts of ID checks, then i suggest you could have got out more.
These checks were common in much of western Europe, i have traveled in, France, Italy, Germany, Spain to name a few during my 3 years there. I can give u lists of countries in the orient, South America, etc if you like.
The UK is hardly the world which u have referenced.
If you care to look the UK has regular ID and visa raids on businesses, housing units etc.
Australia does the same which has led to police finding people kept in slavery, prostitution, people trafficking, organised crime rings, money laundering, weapons charges, drugs just to name a few etc.
From a western country’s the UK over the last couple of years has found the most extensive network of children slavery, prostitution, sex rings, people trafficking in the world. Maybe they should increase their police scrutiny in the interest of humanity?
Again justify your statement and show where in my opening statement I have initiated any comment on the COF or its Councillors, my response to Andrews comments was a bit of harmless banter. I think Andrew has had worse.
I think the Swiss may be rather upset to hear they are not civilized, I wonder if this means the UN offices will be leaving Geneve?

Mark, just bringing some facts into your comments where you manage to turn everything said into an attack against CoF councillors and mayor.

Your description of what happens in Switzerland, certainly does not apply in many other civilised countries, eg, UK. Fact – there hasn’t been a need for it in Australia, nor even a public outcry for it here.

This plan wasn’t just a casual check. It wasn’t even at border crossing points. This was ABF staff potentially checking any and everyone in the streets of Melbourne. This was planned to be a purge!

It many ways it is a pity it wasn’t allowed to take its course, to see exactly who would have been checked, ie, what’s the betting that white Caucasians would not have been the target group! If that turned out to be the case, I suspect the conservatives here would had gone into hiding!

A strange but apt term to use – “The Castle”.

I would expect that Mark is more likely to open the gates and let down the draw-bridge and make the Castle more accessible to us mere peasant rate payers. However, I’m quite sure those enjoying their reign at the Royal Court would prefer a siege than to be accountable to their subjects.

The Chalet is was working at in France in the 90s was raided by the authorities, and all the Aussies without European passports were deported. I am not a supporter of stopping people on the street in Melbourne, as it is unlikely to achieve anything, but Mark is correct in putting it into perspective.

Andrew, perhaps you would benefit from getting out of Freo a bit more often – a broadening experience may even enable a more meaningful contribution.

Andrew just bringing some facts into a another over emotive and sensationalize issue, of how countries actually work and have done for years, without the population being suppressed
Oh our passports already have microchips perhaps the 1st step has happened, damn I’ve missed my chance.
I guess i will just leave the castle for your political aspirations

Saw this on the news today, personally i don’t see what the big deal is?
When I lived in Switzerland i had to carry my Swiss ID, min was work visa and l my contrôle des habitants papers. If i traveled further than Switzerland, my passport and visas, if driving all of that and my WA drivers license and international license.
In Switzerland I was always expected to carry my Swiss permits it was my obligation while working there and expected to produce it on demand, no big deal.
Crossing over the borders their was always passport checks, while traveling in Germany it was common to be stopped and asked for paperwork id etc, in around train stations.
Spain’s world expo there was regular ID checks for foreigners, had several myself.
France was the same and being Australian the check where stricter as visas where required for Australians traveling in or through France
    What’s the big deal?
