Only metres away from one another Fremantle shows all sides of life; the good, the bad, and the ugly.
The big pots with trees as part of the Streetscape Enhancement Trial are a great idea and an immediate improvement.
THE GOOD!
But the ugly banners hanging between the posts of the just renovated Fremantle Markets at Jus Burgers should be removed. How many signs does it take to sell burgers and chips?
THE BAD!
To make it worse we also have the fenced off heritage listed Warders Cottages in Henderson Street. A really ugly sight that state government should address with urgency!

OZ BIGGEST CHOIR AT MARKETS TODAY
The AUSTRALIAN GIRLS CHOIR, the longest running and biggest choir in Australia, will perform at the Fremantle Markets at 12.30 today, Sunday July 10.
This is the launch of the institution in Western Australia, which started in Melbourne in 1984 and is also in Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide.
These girls have sung at the Australian Open, for Oprah Winfrey and also at the G’Day USA Week in the United States.
Combine your fruit and vegies shopping at the markets today with a wee bit of culture. With luck you can listen to the choir while munching on a special burger at one of the outdoor tables at the new JUS Burgers.

P.S. Amazing! They have been performing as long as I have been in Western Australia! I arrived in Perth in September 1984 after having enjoyed Sydney for two and a half years.
FREO’S NEW BURGER BAR
JUS BURGERS have arrived in Fremantle and opened their doors at the Fremantle Market today. They come with a huge reputation, so try them out and support a new business in town. It was already packed full at lunchtime today and that is fantastic. WASAMBA will be kicking off the official opening at 6.30 this eve! Here some photos.
