The Indonesian sail training ship for cadets, Kri Dewaruci, limped into Fremantle this afternoon with a broken mast. The accident happened during rough seas off Kalbarri. The good-will ship carries 160 crew, of which one hundred play in one of the best marching bands in the world, as you will be able to hear and see this Wednesday, August 28, when the band marches from Pioneer Park to Kings Square at 11.30 am, where Perth Lord Mayor Lisa Scaffidi and Fremantle Mayor Dr Brad Pettitt will receive a salute.
