FREMANTLE IS NOT PERTH
I noticed these small stencils on the zebra crossing at the Fremantle railway station. Obviously people, concerned about the mad rush to get the inner city developed with highrise, made the point that we want to retain Freo’s special character and not become like sterile Perth.

Another great idea for a rainy day is lunch at the recently reopened Fremantle Workers’ Club (9 Henry St) followed by dancing to a live band (Twice Shy) from 1.30 – 5pm. You are welcome even if you are not a member.
